Pool Closing Checklist

Properly closing your pool at the end of the season protects your investment and makes opening easier next year. Follow these steps for a smooth winterization.

• Balance water chemistry one final time
• Shock and algaecide treatment
• Lower water level below skimmer
• Drain and blow out all plumbing lines
• Remove and store accessories (ladders, toys, etc.)
• Clean and store the pump, filter, and heater
• Cover the pool securely
